Cemetery Home Page – St-Jean-Baptiste – Corberrie

Saint-Jean-Baptiste was a Mission Church for the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Parish in Concession. The cemetery for the Mission of Saint-Jean-Baptiste is located at the corner of ch.Patrice Road and Route 340.

There are many gravestones of interest in this cemetery. Historical ones of note are the gravestones of Frédéric-Armand Robicheau(aud) and his spouse, Marguerite Melanson. Frédéric-Armand was one of the founders of Corberrie and in 1836, one of the first Acadians elected to the Provincial Legislature (an honor shared with Simon d’Entremont of East Pubnico).

This cemetery has also been indexed by another researcher, providing valuable additional information.

Many thanks to Jason N. Gaudet who has granted me permission to post the link to his cemetery gravemarker indices. This link takes you to a page which functions as a portal to various gravemarker sites, hosted on a Charlotte County website.
