The purpose of the icon is to connect you to a “Grave Marker Page” (a web page devoted to a single grave marker).  If you click on the icon, the “Grave Marker Page” will be displayed.

If you are viewing your cemetery search results as a spreadsheet, you will see the grave marker icon in the left-hand column of each row.  Click on the icon, and you will be transferred to the “Grave Marker Page” for that person.
